Accounting Clerk Summary:
20 hrs/week position with possible hybrid options in the future.
Financial Management:
Work with General Manager and Treasurer in developing the annual business plan and budget
Prepare and make bank deposits at the Financial Institution
Track spending in various accounts and ensure budget is maintained (Sage50 Program or Equivalent)
Maintain an accurate account of all monies received, includes all necessary banking transactions
Keep complete and accurate records/receipts of all monies being issued
Prepare monthly financial report for Board
Prepare and have all records ready for fiscal year end
Assist with year end financials and adjustments
Prepare and distribute-T4's, Receiver General remittances; attend meetings with Revenue Canada auditor as needed
Prepare and maintain payroll records for both staff and Odd Job Squad
Assist in fund raising activities
Prepare financial statements to use in proposals for funding
Collection of Accounts receivable
Household Management:
Filing, deliver bank deposit, possible occasional help in telephone duties, ordering, supplies, mail (post office and street box),
Typing, creation of letters, forms as required, fax, and email duties
New Membership and Renewal payments and receipts
Working with service and vendor providers as required
Reporting Lines:
Reports to the General Manager
Instruction/direction received through verbal and written communication from the General Manager through D.S.F.R. policies and procedures and through performance evaluations
Performance review will be carried out after a probation period of three (3)months, nine (9) month follow up, then yearly after that time.
Other Duties as Assigned by General Manager:
At times there will be direction to the General Manager from the Board of Directors to have the Accounting Clerk work on projects that maybe out of their scope of work
Qualifications:
Must have a level of proficiency with Microsoft office programs including Excel
Have relative experience with SAGE accounting program software (Or Equivalent)
A clear understanding of CRA guidelines to prepare ROES, T4's, and source deductions
A clear understanding of preparation of income, expense, and balance sheets
A clear understanding of banking procedures
A clear understanding of general accounting practices and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Desire to serve in a team environment

We are looking for a responsible person to cover evenings (2pm-10pm or 3pm-11pm) in support of our residential addiction recovery program - Grace House.
Duties:
Client Supports: Assure Rules are being followed. Troubleshoot minor issues. Possibly facilitate class or activity. Debrief with clients when needed.
Meal Support: Make shopping list, shop, and prepare dinner meal for clients.
Odd Job Squad Supports: Keep (OJS) Equipment ready and in good condition. Assure Trucks are fueled and have regular maintenance.
Top Guy Supports: Assist and ensure Top Guy duties are completed. Assure keys and cell are on person, and delivered to Top Guy before leaving.
Reception, telephone duties, ordering, supplies, filing, pick up mail (post office and street box) possible creation of letters, forms as required, fax, and email duties
On call: One week per month

Occasional help with General Manager and Intake Coordinator in work orders, and timesheets for Odd Job Squad
Assist in fundraising activities
