Cortlynne Walker was born in Calgary and raised in Drumheller. She is a wife, and mother of 3 boys. She is happy raising her family in the tight knit and beautiful community of Drumheller. She strongly advocates for mental health and addiction recovery. Grace house is a place that is very dear to her heart. She plans to further her education and training in addictions and mental health.
Tammy Dettrich was born and raised in Brandon Manitoba. She spent 28 years in the Canadian Armed Forces and lived across Canada and has been deployed overseas. After She retired in 2019, she moved to Athabasca and became the Behavioral Health Coordinator at the local Primary Care Network. Tammy moved to Drumheller to be closer to family and is incredibly happy to be part of the Grace House Family.
Born in and raised in Drumheller; Karla has deep roots in this area and an adult daughter who was raised here also. Karla has very expansive work experience that fits in the role she has in supporting Grace House clients and staff by helping in supervision and supports, reports, OJS, and cross training. She has quickly shown that she connects well with our clients and is a whirlwind of work and formidable cook.
Dennis was born and raised in Calgary, been married since 1993, and has four adult children. His degree is in theology, and has certification in addiction and trauma counseling, social services chaplaincy, and crisis management, and he has also developed curriculum in crisis intervention, and addiction. He has been an ordained minister since the 1998 and pastored churches in rural and urban settings throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan. Dennis also worked in shelter chaplaincy and addictions work in Calgary, and addictions, and prison work in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. In December 2023, Dennis took on this position at Grace House where he enjoys the work, team, and clients.
Born in Latvia and immigrating to Canada at the age of five, Irina was raised in Toronto, Ontario's urban landscape. Having recently traded the hustle and bustle of metropolitan life for the tranquility of small-town Drumheller, Irina brings a fresh perspective and a strong advocacy for men’s mental health to our team. Committed to continuous improvement in accounting, she actively pursues further education and training. Her background spans TV broadcasting, merchandise planning, purchasing, and graphic design.
