Amanda Coleman - Support Assistant

I grew up in Mission BC, I struggled with Addiction at a young age.   I developed a passion for working with people suffering from addictions. I spent a few years giving back, volunteering with Fraser House Outpatient Clinic and always tried to help people where I could. I moved to Port Alberni, BC in 2017, that’s when I decided I wanted to pursue working in the field. I enrolled and begun working towards a degree in social work with College of the Rockies. My first job in the field was at a Sobering Centre in Port Alberni. I learnt a lot and grew a great deal from my time there. I recently moved to Alberta and was fortunate enough to hear about Grace House. The people have been amazing, our clients are amazing, and I feel blessed to continue to grow and learn in such a supportive, caring environment.
